🏡✨ LHS Physics class wrapped up the first semester with the Electric House project! Students designed and constructed model houses, incorporating both series and parallel circuits, mirroring those found in real home electrical systems.
This Monday, judges viewed the houses. They assessed various factors, ensuring that series and parallel circuits worked independently without a moving battery, and also evaluated efforts based on creativity and neatness. LES wanted to recognize parents and guardians for their assistance in getting students to school and on time. We put 179 students on the wheel selector for having less than 4 absences. Over zoom with the students these four families were selected as our winners. They received a Dillons gift card. Thank you families for your continued support and partnership. On a side note, we have 30 students sitting with perfect attendance this semester! Awesome job!

Introducing our JAG-K Student of the Month, Ally Belt!
I've had Ally in class the past three years and it's been fun to watch her make strides toward her future. LES held Reindeer Games on Friday. This consisted of a friendly game of Reindeer in my Pocket, Guess the Reindeer tune, which the kids loved participating in, and we closed out our morning collab meeting with a good game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. The winner was Mrs. Sleder! Our staff and students have been working so hard to be their best on their Winter assessments!
