Check out these beautiful colors! 🌸 This week, our Spanish classes explored the traditions of Día de Muertos in Mexico. Each class level studied different aspects of the celebration and their meanings. Intro to Spanish created papel picado, Spanish 1 crafted alebrijes and paper flowers, and Spanish 2 & 3 painted calaveras. All classes learned about the special role of butterflies in the celebration, and many students added photos or names to the classroom ofrenda in memory of loved ones. 🦋 #larnedpride
🎉 This morning, we wrapped up our awards by honoring our 8th grade students for their accomplishments in the first 9 weeks! We recognized their hard work with awards for Honorable Mention, Honor Roll, and Principal's Honor Roll. Students who go above and beyond to support others received the 'Tribe in Action Award,' and those excelling in academics, attendance, and behavior earned the 'Tribe Excellence Award.' We’re so proud of our 8th graders’ growth and leadership at LMS!
