LES has purchased yard signs that we will place in the grass near the drop off line to recognize our 5th grade students as they move up to middle school! We invite all of our 5th grade families to come help their child decorate their sign on May 14th from 5:15-6:15 PM in our cafeteria! Wednesday was a productive day for Larned Middle School students during Community Service Day! A big shout-out to our LMS staff and the USD 495 Transportation Department for organizing this meaningful event and ensuring everything ran smoothly. It was all about giving back to our community who supports us throughout the school year!
From Fort Larned National Historic Site to the Pawnee County Humane Society, our 6th - 8th graders made a positive impact in various locations around Larned and Pawnee Rock. They also helped out the City of Larned crew and took care of tasks for USD 495 such as washing school buses, cleaning gym bleachers, and assisting with general school maintenance. Everyone's efforts truly made a difference! Way to go LMS! #larnedpride #bettertogether
This Wednesday afternoon, we celebrated the incredible achievements of Larned High School students, who have mastered crucial safety and construction skills through the OSHA 10 course and NCCER Core certification. Many students received recognition for their proficiency in both certifications, and two students proudly earned their CDL! A huge thank you to Janet Hammond from H&H Roofing for her support in distributing Core certification cards and OSHA 10 certificates. #bettertogether
