LMS Tribe Power is off the week of June 29-July 3. We will start up again on Tuesday, July 7 in the LHS gym. Please note LHS gym for July 7-9 and back to LMS gym after that. We will have TRIBE Power through July 30. Have a safe 4th of July!
Due to lower than expected numbers enrolled in our Driver Education class, we are able to open it up to a limited number of incoming Freshmen, class of 2024. The class starts July 6 and will run for that entire week. Times are: 9:30am-12:45pm and 1:45-5:00pm. The fee for the class is $175. We are opening the class up to 15-20 kids and will fill on a first come, first serve basis. Please call LHS at 285-2151 by 3:30pm today if you are interested.
Driver Education Reminder:
There will be an enrollment meeting tomorrow, Tuesday the 23rd, at 6pm in the LHS cafeteria. This meeting is for students in the grad class of 2023. 2022 and 2021 students who still need the course can attend to receive the info as well. Class fee is $175.
Larned High School Drivers’ Education
A Summer Driver Education organizational meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. in the Larned High School cafeteria. At this meeting students will sign up for classes and pay the $175.00 class fee. Checks should be made out to U.S.D. #495.
Due to time restrictions and instructor availability, this class will be open to the class of 2023 only. If there is space, we will allow 2021 and 2022 grads to enroll.

LES is teaming up with Sunflower Early Education Center to host another screening. This is for ages birth to 5. Just a reminder, we need all future preschool enrollees to attend a screener before enrolling in our program. Please call LES and we will get you scheduled. See attached image for more information.

LHS Driver's Education, Summer 2020:
At this point in time, we are unsure if we can have driver's ed or not. We have 2 teachers who are working on getting certified, and their ability to teach here in Larned depends on when a few surrounding schools finish up, as they will be student teaching with them. We will keep you posted either way, and hope to have more clarity in the next few days.

LMS FOOTBALL: "Excited to get started Monday, June 1! Each football player needs to get 10 days of Tribe Power conditioning in before they can start practice. There will be three sessions 8-9, 9-10, 10-11 Monday - Thursday. They only need to come to one a day. Tribe Power forms need to be signed before they can participate. I will have extra forms Monday morning if you need one. We will send out more details about how practices will look as we get updates from KSHSAA." Coach Hagerman

Program Dates and Times: June 1st - June 12th Outside Only Student athletes pick 1 of 3 workout sessions. The workouts are body-weight strength and conditioning training circuits that support healthy joints, (tendons & ligaments) to reduce chances of injury and promote physical endurance and confidence. Monday - Thursday 8am-9am workout 1 9am-10am workout 2 10am-11am workout 3
Here is the schedule for the first 2 weeks of summer workouts. Per KSHSAA guidelines all athletes must attend 10 sessions before they can begin sport specific work. All sessions listed below will be outside and will follow all guidelines provided by the local health dept.
