We would like to sincerely thank our coaches, student athletes, and parents for helping us navigate the scorching heat this week! We know this has been a collective effort by everyone involved to move practice times to before the first bell rings at school. They have been up and at ‘em bright and early every day to make sure we adhere to the guidelines set forth by KSHSAA. Safety always comes first - and when temperatures are as high as they’ve been, it’s crucial to prioritize the well-being of our athletes, no matter the sport. 🎾🏈⛳🏐👟 For your reference, we have attached the heat & humidity guidelines from KSHSAA. "The Scrambled States of America" tells the journey of a few states who decided to switch places on the map. Soon all the states were in on the plan and decided to go live elsewhere. So, North Dakota goes to Florida and winds up with a sunburn. Florida goes to North Dakota and was freezing! They realize that really - there is no place like home - and go back to their original spots. After the book was finished, Mrs. Prescott's students drew a card with a state on it, and had to go to the corner of the room that represents which region of the US their state is in. Of course, what other way to finish the scrambled states of America than with a word scramble?! What a fun way to learn! #larnedpride
