On Wednesday, September 25, LMS and LHS students and staff had the opportunity to hear from national youth motivational speaker, Robb Holla, who delivered an impactful anti-vaping presentation. Robb’s talk was both educational and engaging, busting myths while sharing serious data about the dangers of vaping and offering resources for those seeking help with addiction.
The assembly also kicked off the introduction of the new LHS RESIST Chapter, part of a Kansas coalition that stands against the tobacco industry by promoting prevention activities and advocating for the de-normalization of tobacco use among Kansas youth.
This event was made possible through a grant from the Kansas Vaping ECHO for Education Cohort, awarded to USD 495 thanks to the efforts of District Nurse Amie Nelson and her team of counselors, social workers, administrators, and support staff. #larnedpride #bettertogether

Larned Middle School is looking for Veterans to help with morning announcements the week of Nov 12-15! 🇺🇸
We invite any U.S. Veterans who’d like to participate to arrive at the school office by 8:10 AM, and you’ll begin the announcements at 8:15 over our phone intercom. The announcements take about 3 minutes, and we ask that you introduce yourself, share where you’ve served, and lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. (Announcements will be sent in advance!)
We’d also love to have Veterans join us for lunch with the students that week! You’re welcome to enjoy a school lunch or bring your own. It’s a great way for our students to connect with some of the bravest and most selfless individuals in our community.
If you’re interested in reading the announcements, having lunch, or both, please contact Mrs. Hagerman at Larned Middle School:
