A night of camping fun for families was had by all those who attended for our LES Math and Reading Night. Each year we host an event for families to come do different activities that revolve around math and reading. The idea is for families to take these activities and do them at home too.
The event started with a map of different stations to go to around the school. We had a plane bear hunt, Bingo for books, listening to campfire songs, reading by the fire, a photo booth, card games, fishing and some dancing. We finished the night with a campfire meal of hotdogs, chips and a s’more treat.
This year we had 173 students attend, while feeding almost 300 people. It was a wonderful turnout. With their maps completed, students had a ticket to 10 different family oriented baskets we were raffling off.
A special shout out to Mrs. Erway for taking the lead on this event and her group for helping put it all together.
Thank you families for joining the fun!
