Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year! My name is Denise Schmidt and I am the new Director for Tri-County Special Services Cooperative. This year begins my 20th year in education. I am a life long Central Kansas resident, and I have worked in Special Education for seventeen years. I have worked for the Hoisington, Great Bend and Central Plains School Districts. For the last three years, I have been the Principal at Lincoln Elementary School in Lincoln, Kansas. My husband Eric and I have two children, Maryn (16) and Rhett (10). In my free time, I enjoy attending my children's many activities, reading and taking students and families on educational travel trips. I love working in the field of special education and helping students reach their fullest potential and building relationships with families and staff.
Tri-County Special Services Cooperative provides special education services to students in the Ft. Larned, Pawnee Heights, and Kinsley-Offerle school districts for children and students from three years old to twenty-one years old. We are currently looking to fill several positions for the upcoming school year including a Speech Language Pathologist, Elementary Special Education Teacher for Kinsley-Offerle, and paraeducator positions in all districts for all levels. We are looking for flexible, passionate individuals who enjoy helping students. If you are interested in any of these positions please apply under the Apply Now tab.
I am so happy to begin this school year helping students and families. Have a safe and fun school year. Sincerely,
Denise Schmidt, Executive Director Tri-County Special Services Cooperative
