At their regular August Board Meeting, the USD 495 Board Members approved the Return to School Plan for the district. The plan was developed and reviewed with the help of administration, staff, parents, patrons and legal counsel. As we focus on returning to school, we will be working to achieve three specific goals this year: Return to school for in person education while providing other educational opportunities at parental request; Being able to maintain in person school operations throughout the 2020-2021 school year; and Providing equitable and suitable teaching and learning that meets district/ state adopted outcomes. Our hope is the USD 495 Return to School Plan will help ensure the achievement of these goals.
It is important to understand that the plan we developed is flexible, and will adapt as we move through the school year. We understand this plan will be an adjustment for everyone, and we will work with our students as they get comfortable with the plan. We ask that you help us in this process so we can do all we can to provide the best education for our students.
Below, you will find a link to see the approved plan. If you have additional concerns or questions, please reach out to your building principal or the district office.
