To the families of USD 495,
Today brought more plans and innovation as our administrators begin to investigate the Continuous Learning Task Force Guidance from KSDE. While we also feel the unease and anxiety of these uncertain days, we’re encouraged by the guidance and resources we have received today as we start the process of supporting learning outside of our normal practices.
USD 495 is in the process of developing a survey that will be distributed to all families, to help in our planning for continuous learning for all students. We want to ensure that we are equipped to transition to a continuous learning environment, and responsive to the needs of all families. We are planning to have the survey emailed to families by the end of this week.
Your buildings are working on a timeline for students and families to retrieve personal belongings. Please be patient with us on this as we coordinate this process in a safe and orderly manner. More details will be provided soon.
We know more each day, but as we’ve said before, there are many questions that we simply do not yet have answers for at this time.
While it will look different, plans are taking shape and we will continue to provide learning opportunities for Fort Larned students. While maintaining our top priority of keeping students and staff safe.
